This group offers a friendly and welcoming space to slow down and explore questions of purpose, meaning, and wellbeing in later life. Through gentle, guided mindfulness meditation, participants are invited to draw on their own life experience, values, and interests in a calm and supportive setting. We practice mindfulness by being fully present and aware of our experiences—senses, thoughts, and emotions—without being overly reactive or judgmental.
The group is suitable for those who are curious about meditation in a practical, non-spiritual way, and who enjoy reflection and thoughtful conversation about mindfulness in everyday life. No previous experience of meditation is necessary.
The group currently has 10 members, many of whom have been participating for over 10 years, creating a well-established and supportive learning environment.
