The President – Mike Bowen

Having holidayed in Nerja for 40 years I moved here in 2023. I enjoy my 18 holes of golf at Baviera every week and the Anglican church service on a Sunday. The rest of the week I spend developing new ideas and managing U3A axarquia.
My ambition for the association is for it to be represented throughout the Axarquia, from Rincon de la Victoria to Maro. Our first satellite project will start shortly in Torre Del Mar. Come and join us you will be made very welcome.
Vice President – Susan (Sue) Harrison

I am from the North East of England but lost my accent working in S. Yorkshire! My late husband and I retired early and happily settled in Torrox Costa. There are 2 daughters and 2 grandsons in the UK. I love dancing, history, crocheting, yoga, meeting people and I have organised Ceilidhs and Luncheons. I was a founder member of our U3A in 2009; 6 friends who wanted to learn new skills under the leadership of Christine Narbett.I have been the Member Representative twice and I am the facilitator for the History group. I also belong to 4 other groups. I look forward to my role as Vice President; to use my organisational experiences and positivity to help others and make sure we enjoy ourselves learning new skills and expanding our knowledge.
